Course Description
This course provides an in-depth exploration of the essential role that nutrition and hydration play in maintaining optimal health and performance. Students will examine the biochemical processes involved in digestion, absorption, and metabolism of nutrients, as well as the physiological effects of hydration on the body. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, and fats), micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), and water, and their impact on various aspects of health, including energy metabolism, immune function, and disease prevention.
